Instead of using one of the tools listed on the INTN342 course, I'm choosing to write about the new school webpage I recently had training on through the Everman ISD. (I tried to create a Moodle page but it wasn't flying for me.)
We are using Fusion Pages that are much like Blackboard or Moodle. You can post documents, events to a calendar, announcements, web pages and links. It's really simple and user friendly. If more of our students and parents had consistent web access, this could be a tremendously useful tool.

Yes you are right about the need for more parent's to be involved in web based information. But with your support and expertise now, I'm sure you will get all of them on board.
